Christmas in July 2025
A Magical Night to Remember
Our very first Christmas in July Fundraiser was a night full of festive cheer, community spirit, and incredible generosity.
Held on Saturday, 5 July at Easts Leisure and Golf Club, the event welcomed over 80 guests, including friends, families, Volunteers, and supporters from across the Maitland community. The room was alive with laughter and music.
Guests enjoyed a delicious Christmas-themed dinner and Christmas Trivia. One of the evening’s highlights was the DIY Christmas Hat Competition, where creativity was on full display. From glitter to garlands, the entries were clever. Congratulations to Volunteer, Jenny Cridland, who stole the show once again with her Plum Pudding Hat.
Santa made a surprise appearance, spreading cheer and posing for festive photos, and singer, Jason Carruthers stepped in at the last minute to provide fantastic live music that kept the energy high all night long.
The fundraising fun continued with a raffle, a 100 Club draw, and a lively auction featuring a painting by Artist, Mel Brigg, and a range of other exciting items. The generosity of our donors and bidders was truly heartwarming. A special shout-out goes to our charismatic auctioneer and last-minute MC, Pat Howard, whose energy, humour, and warmth brought the room to life and helped make the night a huge success.
We are deeply grateful to the wonderful businesses and individuals who donated items for our raffle and auction: Darrell Lea Maitland, Endota Spa Greenhills, Petersons Wines, Gartelmann Wines, Kaiser Craft Maitland, Newcastle Spiral Spuds, and A & K Mackay Building Company, and a very special thank you to Easts Leisure and Golf Club for generously providing free room hire and their incredible support throughout the evening.
While the night was full of fun, it also served a greater purpose. Thanks to your support—through ticket purchases, raffle entries, auction bids, and donations—we’re one step closer to achieving our goals and continuing our vital work in the community.
To everyone who attended, contributed, volunteered, and cheered us on: thank you! Your support means the world to us.
We’re already planning for next year’s celebration—Save the date: Saturday, 11 July 2026.
